据说随便说上一点时间的话就是很多钱！
美国的医生也这样的，看你一眼，十来分钟，一百多刀就出去了

那杯咖啡之所以值这么多钱据说是因为它比标准咖啡烫了那么几度让一位老太太不爽。
还有一个律师叫一家华人的中国餐馆完蛋的案例，总之，律师在us真是好而康。

那是片面的理解罷了
法學院三年非常之貴的﹐補助又少之又少﹐這個是所謂的sunk cost
而我知道好幾個名法學院的畢業生連工作都找不到
而且法律分public law 和 non-public law
我在專為public law學生服務的就業組織工作過﹐絕大部份向他們開放的工作都是年薪還不到五六萬
那些掙大錢的律師又工作實在是非常之辛苦﹐一個個都是加班狂﹐女性基本上無法在正常年紀生孩子
所以說﹐任何事情都是有代價的

let's see, say you graduate from undergrad at 22
then 3 years in law school plus passing the bar and what not, that's 26
one almost definitely cannot secure one's position within the firm (associate) in fewer than 5 years, that makes it 31
and then preganacy itself brings it to 32

and of course due to their extremely busy schedule, it's not easy for lawyers to meet potential marriage partners either

not to mention there is tremendous pressure on female lawyers to delay marriage and motherhood

我的host family的男主人就是一名律师。他们家住在lincoln的富人区，有一幢很大的house，算是有钱人了。但是男主人的工作非常忙，一次星期天学校组合学生和他们的host family一起吃饭，他还要去上班。
