I haven't declared my program of study yet- -|kinda of jumping back and forth between psychology and political science:(but i need to make a decision soon

Agree with seiyanfan... In US, you never pay for PhD, unless your family is wealthy enough that you don't ever need to work anyway.
But maybe in some other countries grad school is more affordable.

It's more common that people pay for master's such as MBA, or professional degrees.

PS. I used to enjoy taking classes so had a very heavy course load during undergrad.

美国这里本科的requirement还是不多，毕业120-130个学分就够了，我看过这里从印度来的graduate student的简历，人家在印度读本科的时候查不多修了160-200个学分（每门课和这里一样，3-4个学分）

不同國家的load還是不一樣
以前在國內唸under的時候全部修了157學分 平均一學期20個左右
現在一學期修3門課就已經快累死了-_-

most got tuition support(by company) in my class.:):)


偶一個quarter平均修2-3門課 偶已經覺得時間都不夠用了說-_-

大概要读哪方面的也还是要决定的吧？！


我在undergrad的时候也只修了144个学分。感觉找些学分比较多的科目来读比较好。就像我之前读化学，其实一科分成了4个小科目，因为里面的内容完全不同，结果每科都要花相当多的时间进去。

PS.打死也不要读quantum chemistry——虽然（竟然）它是我最高分的那科，不过回想起复习的时候，还真是痛苦啊，越看越不明白，唉……

蜥蜴J夸张了~~~是百几而已~~~
我3年144个credit point，平均下来一个学期24个，理论上一个credit point对应1个小时/周。
