Economics, politics, and even life is all about making choices...
The world we live in is not perfect--resources are scarce.
There is no way that everything can come directly and immediately--we have to make choices, and pay the opportunity cost.

It is quite understandable that most people want to see results as quick as it can happen. But, think about the future! Politicians make policies with immediate resultts and make tons of promises to win election by "popularity contest". True Statesman tend to treat things in long term, despite how these things will affect the results of the election.

政治取向么？republican和democracy之间有区别么？自由经济政策两党似乎没有分歧，在诸如穆斯林女学生要不要戴头巾或是同性恋可不可以结婚这样的问题上的不一致基本上等同猪杂汤里的生菜。

政治取向应该是不同政党对社会各个方面所持的不同观点，不同政党执政，政策就会不同。

在这反面企鹅姐是专家。。

Politics is all about different opionions, differnt interst groups, differnt ideas, and how these differences affect peole and statesmans in making choices.
