The reply:

What Anna Marie didn't tell you is that we were hoping you would help us by handing out maps and holding open doors and showing the alumni around the building. Could you do that for us?

Seriously though, the first email was one of the lower things my department has ever done to me.

actually there are few names for it, I just use trash can because there is one next to the computer I'm using.
