It depends. No one can force you to do things that you don't want to do. But people in the church are nice to meet with you and help you out when you are in needs. No neccessary to join.

我遇到了很奇怪的一个教派，他们信上帝的，但解释很不一样，如，不去教堂，上帝不是三为一体，没有圣诞节，等等。我怀疑是个邪教---

I don't go to church at all.
I am too radical.
I doubt everything that I cannot prove either logically or emperically.
So, I may believe in God, but I doubt his existence at the same time. I am not really 'faithful'. The 'church people' are too rash in deciding things. I don't really know whether to call them faithful people or guliable fools.
