Just say it.
In western country most of the people speak straight forward.
Chinese always want to talk politely, all bullshit.
The way western people talk is friendly but also frankly, It's actually make things simple. I'm kinda like it.
Honestly, things can getting awkward if you don't tell you roommate your feeling now.
