i mean north california. Irine is supposed in south california, isn't it?

oh. actually I dont know where Irvine is, but my relatives who live there kept referring to it as 爾湾. Well, I guess places that are named "湾" are dime a dozen, eh?

guess 尔湾 is just the " sound tanslation " of Irine. i don't think it is in a bay.

If you just say "Bay Area" or "湾区", it particularly means San Francisco Bay Area because it is the only metropolitan bay area in US.
