When it comes to long term goals China's space program vision to lauch a lunar probe within 3 years. The target is to mine helium-3 a rare material barely found on earth that could power nuclear reactors.
从经济的方面,现在的space program绝对没有效益imagine all the resources that we can investigate...and the energy shortage problem the earth is facing.......do you how great it would help the earth out if the plan turns out to be successful? In addition the westerns have also proven to the world that landing on moon is possible. So why not do it?
This is the power of science.

you may have mistaken something^.^
China first started up a manned program 11 years agem the authorities were so keen on keeping a low profile that they didn't even bother to give it a name, but a number Project 921 and kept a tight lid on every scrap of information.
That's why no one really bothers what happened, it was seen as a military secrert I guess
