Privacy Policy
Our privacy policy is very simple. We DO NOT collect any personal information from users of the WinMX application software nor do we collect any personal information from visitors to WinMX.com .
Frontcode Technologies and/or WinMX do not own ANY type of sharing or indexing servers.
When a user connects to an OpenNap server using WinMX, only information essential to program operation is transmitted to the server, such as your WinMX user name, any file searches you perform, any chat messages you type, etc. This information is only transmitted to the relevant server, it is not transmitted to us or anyone else.
WinMX Peer Cache and Peer Redirect servers are used solely to reflect the I.P. addresses of WinMX Peer Network users to other WinMX Peer Network users. Nothing besides your I.P. address and WinMX incoming connection port number is transmitted to these servers. No file listings or any other types of information are ever transmitted to any servers owned or operated by WinMX.com and/or Frontcode Technologies.
WinMX does not and will NEVER contain SPYWARE. We would never betray the trust of our users by selling out to spyware.
