Upon this battle depends the survival of our SOS dan's last player.
Upon it depends our glory and the long continuity of our fame and our dan.
The whole fury and might of the enemy must very soon be turned on us now.
Suiseiseki's fans know that thay will have to break us in this play
or lose the whole tournament.
If we can stand up to her, all glory will be ours and the fame of our dan
will spread to every corner of the universe.
But if we fail, then the whole world, including Suzumiya san and Nagato san,
including all that we have known and cared for,
will sink into the abyss of a new Dark Age, made more unfair,
and perhaps more sinister, by the shadows of some perverted fans.
Let us therefore brace ourselves to our duties,
and so bear ourselves that,
if the SOS Dan and its affiliate last for a thousand years,
men will still say,
'This was their finest hour.'
