Which version of ED/EM you are using?
If you are using ED, there should be a white box in the bottom. (if not click on the organge icon on the right) That is the command window.
In that window, type
retest
ED will retest the connection between you and the server. If there is no surprise, you should be getting an high ID.

In the command line type:
retest
This will force ED to retest the connection. Wish it helps. ^^
