辉格和脱利分别是英国16世纪自由保守两党的前身了，本来都是双方用于辱骂对方的苏格兰语，但后来却又都被双方接受为本党名称，并渐次演进为自由党保守党。

既然过去的12年都是一个党派，那我就怀疑minority能不能在处于少数的情况下的执政能力了

minority government is good for the people becuase if they want to stay in power then they have to really listen to what people wants.

That is not necessarily a bad thing. After all have all power to one party just give them too much control. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

It's not that simple.How can a government fullfil its policy if it always face the strong challenge from legislation?Of course paliarment shoulders the responsibility to watch the ruling party,and prevent the politics from corrupting.However,government will do nothing if they can't deploy recourses in position.Who can promise paliarment to be cooperate all the way with ruling party for "good things"?How if paliarment reject policies only because the ruling party issued it?
Anyway,the ruling party is in minority shows that people doesn't trust it comepletely.For example dpp of tw and ndp of india.

加拿大大选我不关心，我就关心bush什么时候下台。

这个猪头，真tmd多事，上台了以后，推出了一系列对外国人加强限制的政策。对留学生的政策也苛刻的很多。工作签证名额，曾经一度有180 thousand，这两年又回到了65 thousand。少了120个thousand哦。kao。最近绿卡批准也滚会。以前就要等5年左右，这一来，mmd，等到猴年马月阿。

我很多同学寒假回国，反签被check。多耽误事啊。又不是什么敏感专业，ee的，学通信的，又不会造什么生物武器。你tmd的担心个p阿。

整个就是个做贼心虚。你tmd别管人家内政，谁来恐怖袭击你阿？吃饱了没事干？有那闲心，人家还不如在家门口制造点事件呢。

关于minority government....
civics课上老师说。。minority government basically can't get anything done.........|| 'caus all the other parties would be against anything that they proposed..=_=....after all they are called the 'oppositions'..their job is to not agree with the government OTL|||||.. besides...no party would agree with another party, 'cauz it'll make them look bad..........................

And your teacher really got the point,we should appreciate that damacracy is the most effective way to orgnazing goverment so far ,but not the most effcient one,yet would never be either the perfect one or compulsory one.But there's no alternative way to approach to the "fairness,equality,and freedom" which hunmanbeings prusuits all through the history.So democracy is the "best" so far.We shoul know them all before we make judgement.The problem is,electional politics is a game now,a game for reshuffle the top power,ant it has been far far away from its foundamental.In the game,victory is the only goal for politician,this time lost,the next is always coming.Then the preparation is on the way to election all the time.
How a "opposition" could get win if they failed have them being against ruling party?Voters will see no difference between them and government~

我也对保守党没好印象，好像很white-power-ish...|||
Liberal的腐败现在还只是空说没有证据，但如果RMP调查后真有这么回事 orz 我死也不会再投Liberal~~ 大部分新移民离开中国就是为了逃避那里的腐败气息
希望NDP能grow stronger~~~hoho
魁北克的党估计只有魁北克人会投吧，所以不用担心它会上台 =v= ~
